Some geographic regions seemingly have far more strange events, odd happenings, and paranormal activity occurring in their neck of the woods than others. One of these locations or paranormal "hotspots" in Southern Ontario is Kempenfelt Bay in Barrie.
Over the years Kempenfelt Bay including Barrie, and surrounding area has seen its fair share of UFO activity, including what has been described as alien abductions. It is also reportedly home to a lake monster known as Kempenfelt Kelly. And along side these reports we have also heard several tales of spooklights, will o' wisps, and strange mists that vanish as quickly as they appear. With all of this going on it should come as no big surprise that the area also sees its fair share of ghosts, and hauntings. |

These types of reports are always very intriguing, and to be honest always create some debate as to how to class them. Should they be considered UFOS or ghosts? I personally prefer to call them anomalous light phenomenon or A.L.P for short.
The following was sent to us in April 2009, but the actual event took place five years previous in 2004. |

Well you asked for it. When I say Alien I don’t mean extraterrestrial. I don’t know what it was. It was just strange. I was out one night, on my bicycle, taking the dog for a run. We lived at the end of a road, south of the village. I had just come to the last corner before the short stretch home, when the dog, a large black lab, took off ahead of me growling and barking. He headed for the opening to a cottage driveway. I could then see what he was after. At first I thought it was a big white cat but then it appeared just like a white shape. |
